My family and I are from Katy, Texas right outside of Houston on the westside. Hurricane Ike's projected path was coming directly for us and I felt it woudl be safer to take the family away from Houston. By the time we made the decision all the major hotels and motels in Texas were booked. I found homeaway.com and started looking for a place to stay on very short notice.
We got much more than we were looking for when I found this wonderful and at such a great price. I had no idea about the surrounding area in which this condo resides. Within a mile is Lake Austin which had wonderful waterfront restaurants and plenty of watersports for the family to enjoy. The condo was immaculate and very tastefully decorated. My wife stated I was going to have to drag her out.
Chereen, the owner, is great and was very helpful considering the circumstances for which we were staying in Austin for. I cannot wait to go back for a romantic getaway weekend with my wife or maybe a family trip when we really can enjoy the surrounding area.

This is the best place we have ever stayed in - hands down. We are usually hotel people but after staying at this condo we have been converted into condo people. It had all the comforts of a home with the amenities of a hotel and more. We were able to wash our swim suits in the washer dryer, use the fully equiped kitchen, play boards games, watch DVDs - everything we could ask for and more. The decorations were beautiful and the beds and sofas were very comfortable. The location was great because it was close to downtown, Zilker Park, and most of the places we wanted to see in the city. We were close to so many great restaurants and attractions. The customer service was excellent - the owner called and checked on us to make sure we arrived safely and that we had everything we needed.

Relaxing weekend with friends

We recently rented this space for a girls weekend / college reunion. (and we didn't even go to school in Austin!) The place was so nice - relaxing, comfortable, quiet. The pool was not clean enough to go in yet (it was the first weekend in May), but we did lay out around the pool for much of one day. Thank you! This was a great experience and I would definitely recommend it and do it again.

My family and I stayed here for four days during March, we throughly enjoyed our visit. The condo has everything you need and more. We were very comfortable, as the decor and sleeping arrangments made for a very peaceful stay . The condo is kid friendly, with two TV'/DVD's and wireless internet. An added benefit of this property is the location; in a great part of Austin with easy acesss to whatever it is you want to do. If you aren't out and about, don't be shy about entertaining when you stay, the place is beautiful, you will welcome guests as if it were your own home.

My mom and I stayed at Chereen's condo last weekend. It was so nice to feel right at home.
We cooked here a few nights and had such a great time just relaxing in the dining room and living room. Part of what makes this condo different from a hotel is this: when I stay in a hotel, I feel a bit cramped and like I need to leave the hotel; at the condo, I felt no need to leave! The tvs and dvds let us relax together, the kitchen provided an amazing place to cook and keep snacks and groceries, and the master bedroom in particular has an amazingly comfortable bed.
Great walking distance to the grocery store. If you stay at this condo, you must go to Mozart's Coffee nearby- it's waterfront and so pretty and peaceful.
This rental includes dvds, magazines, books, a restaurant guide- everything you'll need for a great stay in Austin.
The second bedroom is great for kids or teenagers.
The public golf course is literally right next door.
No complaints about this rental- couldn't have been better!

This condo is in an ideal location, literally minutes from everything in Austin. Beautifully decorated, with lots of little extra touches -- like fresh fruit and granola bars, plus a fridge stocked with bottled water and sodas. Chereen thoughtfully provided us with maps to some of her favorite places. We'll be back!
